These Tuesday Talks will usually be interviews, but today’s is about this and that.
First, my old friend, the Rev. Jay Reppert has a severe illness. Jay is a Methodist minister currently assigned to Lizella (Georgia) Methodist Church. He was the lead singer on this song with The Christal River Band. We recorded it in early 1985 at Muscadine Studios in Macon with Paul Hornsby engineering. If you’re of a mind, send thoughts and prayers to Jay and his wife Becky.
Here’s an audio link to Just For You.
I suppose I should list the other band members - Jimmy Denney wrote the song and plays lead guitar, Rhea Sama - guitar, Wayne Moore - bass, Steve Luther - drums, Larry Finney - trumpet, Donn Finney - tenor and alto saxophones and alto flute, and I think I played my old Holton bass trombone on this one. Jay sang lead, and David Jones, Jimmy and Rhea sang backup.

I’ve stumbled across this substack writer who travels from city to city and writes about his experiences walking, eating, talking to people, and photographing. He recently spent a few days days in Savannah.
See you Friday with another Friday Photo.
